Although a lot of people didn´t believe us that we say goodbye to Malaysia, the time of good-bye came. And we can just say that some questions will be not answered to us…
Luckily, traveling is so affordable that it will not be a problem to come back again. Even if it will be just a 2-week holiday. People, culture, nature, and food … that’s something that we would like to see and enjoy it again 🙂

Cats

We had the very hardest farewells with our four-legged friends. In the beginning, we didn´t want to be their “friends” but we became accustomed to each other over time. Especially when you spend a lot of time with them from the second month of their life, you care about them during the illnesses, mother’s leaving and castration. And if someone says cats cannot be raised, then believe they will. When they did something, they knew very well what was going to happen. Just like we knocked on a blue bowl. They knew they will get a can of meat and they didn´t have a problem running from the other side of the garden.

Now we are in a different place. We miss them. Because a lot of time they were under our legs, they wanted a big hug or wanted to play with us. We are really sad. We have a big bond with them. Actually, they saved us two times. We had a snake (king cobra) in our room the first time and before our room the second time. Like in the wild, the winner takes it all and the cat’s gang was better than the snake.

At the same time, we recall the funny and comic events we have experienced with them. One of the last was that the most fluffy cat (the only girl) fell in love with Martin and was haunting him everywhere. And because one day Martin made a swimming pool with concrete, she jumped into that fresh concrete (it was quite liquid) and the only thing she could do was to exclaim the sad MŇAU with really sad eyes!

PS: I don´t have to tell you about a half-hour of the request in the shower, but I think that it was better for her than the hard concrete on her body
And as for their Malaysian names, we gave them some other names in the Czech language.

IKAN – in FISH translation, the most fluffy cat and the only girl. Martin was her love and even she slept with him in the bed. With the new name CHLUPATÁ / CHLUP / STALKERKA / STÍHAČKA

ROTI – in the translation of BREAD and my favorite pet. At the same time the most talking and frightened cat. We wanted to help him to catch a mouse, but he just sit and looked at her. He was like a frightened girl. The new name BUZÍK

AYAM – in the translation of the CHICKEN, the biggest bad boy and loner before the castration. When we arrived back to Malaysia in May, we found that he had a burned nose, so the new name was SPÁLENEJ, but after castration, he still cleaned one part of his body that we renamed him to HONIBRK. I sometimes called him FEŤÁK, because every time when I used the local ointment after the mosquito bite, he ran to me, started to sniffed, licked the ointment and then, with a satisfied expression, he lay on his back with a happy face 😀

BILISANCHOVY in translation. Martin’s favorite cat (small puma) and the boss of the entire cat gang. He has been driving out older cats since childhood, taking care of the other siblings when he caught something, shared it with his siblings. The new name ČERNOUŠEK / ČERNOCH.

We just said how other volunteers will do it. We talked to them in Czech and they only responded to us … if someone addresses their original names, they don´t know what is going on.

Saying goodbye to local people

Who travels abroad as a tourist sees especially places just for tourists. Travelers will usually also look into places where only local people associate. At the first time, local people were really surprised when they saw us in their local places. But when you visit places regularly for half a year, they already know you well and only check if you order as usual. And since you are their regular customer, certain discounts and bonuses are just a small cherry on the cake. That’s the reason why we were very sad when we said goodbye to them. And because we can not find these places in Bohemia.

The place you go to when you don´t want to make a breakfast at home and the price is low than 50 CZK for 2 people. You can choose a salty or sweet version.

When you are in the city and you want a delicious home-made broth, rice, and chicken for lunch (WARNING – it looks like an easy meal, but the chef told us the secret that a total of 27 ingredients are needed and everything is fresh).

And one place which you have about 250 meters away from the home, and you know it is open from breakfast to dinner. There are 3 aunts, and they inform you if they have your favorite noodle soup today or not. I was famous with my order BIHUN SUP 😀 And when we went to dinner on the right day, we could enjoy the atmosphere spiced by the fact that one aunt turned on the TV, the endless Asian soap-opera started, everyone sat in front of the screen and sometimes uncle in the bathrobe came with aunt from the other house.

It is not possible to see even in the village in Bohemia! How we loved these evenings.

Kuala Lumpur

What to add in the end …

Because we checked air-tickets with the best price to Cambodia, we had a short-term stop in Kuala Lumpur. After 8 months, we went to KLCC and saw the twins again. After then we went through the KL center so I could make some videos. During the afternoon, we rested in the park under the “twins” and two groups of students stopped us and wanted to make an interview with us. We didn´t have a problem and surprised them how long we had been in Malaysia, how much we knew about the country, people and culture, and that we spoke a little in the Malay language. Maybe we looked like a European tourist on the short vacation 🙂

We had unusual accommodation. Martin discovered the hotel where they had a shared room with so-called private coffins. And because we are not claustrophobic people, we decided to try it out. If you do not mind shared rooms, but you want a privacy too, this hotel is a good choice. In addition, there was one station of subway and in15 minutes right we were in the center of KL.
